Need Help Finding Coverage?

Missouri Health InsuranceThere are several reasons you might need health insurance or medical coverage. You could be self-employed, a small business owner, losing COBRA benefits, changing jobs or a college student.

We offer traditional permanent policies for those who need medical coverage for an indefinite period of time.  Our carriers also provide short term insurance and student coverage for those who only need a policy for a short period of time.

With our guidance, purchasing the health insurance you need is quick and easy.  We also provide direct links to our carriers for those who wish to quote on their own.

Several Benefit Choices

Whether you are an individual or a family unit, you will have a wide array of benefits to choose from.  We offer maternity coverage, prescription drug plans, preventive care, inexpensive doctor’s office copay options, hospitalization, mental health coverage, as well as child wellness visits and immunizations.  We offer policies for our clients who desire comprehensive benefits and also for those who simply need protection from the catastrophic.

Typically, you can select from deductible amounts ranging from $250 to $10,000.  Most carriers will offer coinsurance options ranging from 20% to 100%. (The insured is usually responsible for the coinsurance percentage up to $10,000.) Lifetime maximum benefits will range from 3 million to 8 million per individual.  Additionally, all plans will have a large network of doctors and hospitals in your area from which to choose.

Health Saving Accounts

Recently legislation was passed approving tax-favored savings accounts that can be coupled with a high deductible health policy. These plans are referred to as Health Savings Accounts or HSA’s. They are gaining in popularity due to their tax advantages and flexibility.

Money deposited in a HSA can be deducted from your income taxes.  In 2009, an individual can deposit and deduct up to $3,000 while a family will have a limit of $5,950.  Deposits grow tax-deferred and gain interest based on current savings rates or the performance of chosen investments.

When needed, funds can be withdrawn tax-free for qualified medical expenses - expenses such as reaching a deductible or coinsurance amount, dental/vision bills, or prescription costs for example.  Unused funds remain in the account year after year for future medical expenses and always belong to the insured - even after the policy is cancelled.  All of our carriers offer competitive HSA plans.
